The Ferrari 250 GTO No. 24 of Jean Blaton “Beurlys” and Lucien Bianchi passes under the famous Dunlop bridge, open the photo above to admire it in full, during the 1964 24 Hours of Le Mans. The beautiful Italian race car, entered by the Belgian National Team, took 5th place in the general classification and first in the 2501 to 3000 cc class.

This edition marked the arrival of the American teams, whose Ford V8 powered no less than 10 cars, which did not prevent Ferrari from winning the event for the fifth consecutive year, a record – the works 275 P (photo below) of the Sicilian Nino Vaccarella and the Frenchman Jean Guichet covered 349 laps, another record.
