Monza 1968. Bruce McLaren is caught studying the Ferrari 312 in the garage, ahead of the 1968 Italian Grand Prix. Notice the high wing and the splendid Ferrari V12 engine.
The 1968 Italian Grand Prix was race 9 of 12 in the Formula One World Championship. John Surtees captured pole position in his Honda RA 301A in front of Bruce McLaren (McLaren M7A) and the two Ferraris 312 of Chris Amon and Jacky Ickx.
Denny Hulme (McLaren M7A) won the race in front of Johnny Servoz-Gavin (Matra MS10, picture-below), who scored the best result of his career. Jacky Ickx was third, to the delight of the many Ferrari fans around the Monza Autodrómo.

Bonjour,
Il me semble qu’en 68, Ferrari avait toujours un V12 et non un boxer.

Gilbert
