The Brumos Porsche 935/77 #99, driven by Rolf Stommelen, Toine Hezemans and Peter Gregg won the 1978 24 Hours of Daytona. For Gregg, the owner of Brumos, it was already the fourth victory in this endurance classic, equaling record holder Pedro Rodriguez.
For Rolf Stommelen it was the second overall victory, while Dutch ace Toine Hezemans prevailed for the first time.
