Max Verstappen showed once again his brilliance, in the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix. His pole-position, taken from Fernando Alonso in the last portion of the circuit, at the very edge, is already legendary stuff. He then dominated the race on Sunday in tricky conditions, and took another convincing victory.

Some already compare Max Verstappen to the likes of some all-time greats, like Senna and Schumacher, and the sentiment is that the 24-year old, is about to dominate Formula One for many years.

Giancarlo Fisichella, the Italian former F1 driver, a three-time Grand winner, declared: “I raced against Schumacher, when he used to win everything for Ferrari, and I think there was no one as strong as Michael in managing the race. Michael remains number one to this day. But if we talk about driving talent, Max Verstappen is at the same level.”

Dr. Helmut Marko is full of praise: “There is the natural speed he has, and now he has further developed and almost become a tyre whisperer. He has now also developed the ability to read a race better, or almost optimally. And also the overall perspective, that’s why he’s now the most complete driver in the sport.”
