Three BMW 3.0 CSLs were entered by Luigi in the 1976 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Finotto-Dieudonné and Xhenceval in the #1, de Fierlant-Grano-Grohs in the #2, and Corbisier-de Wael-Braillard in the #3 (photo above), but non of them will see the checkered flag, and victory will go to another BMW 3.0 CSL of Chavan-Demuth-Détrin.
