“A star is born”

George Russell has tremendously impressed us yesterday at the Sakhir Grand Prix. Driving for the Mercedes W11 for the very first time, not perfectly seated in its cockpit, he showed his speed, his class. He just was flawless, dominated his experienced team mate Bottas and should have won the race, but for a rare mistake by the Mercedes crew.

Team principal Toto Wolff: “It’s not going to be George Russell last attempt to win a race, this is just the beginning of a fairy-tale that didn’t work out today and I would say a star is born.”

It’s been a while, that we at the Human Side of Racing, have been claiming George is an immense talent, and we so much enjoyed watching him drive so impressively, confirming all the good things we think of him.
