The Tyrrell 011 was a Formula One car designed by engineer Maurice Philippe for the Tyrrell Racing Organisation. It had an aluminium monocoque and was powered by the 3L V8 Cosworth DFV engine.

It was first entered in the last six races of the 1981 season for Eddie Cheever and Michele Alboreto, but this same concept was used by Tyrrell in 1982 and 1983 as well. In 1982, Tyrrell continued the development of the 011, and Michele Alboreto made the best use of it. Six points finishes and a podium in San Marino were punctuated with a surprise win at the last race of the season, the Caesars Palace Grand Prix (picture below).

Alboreto scored Tyrrell’s first victory since the 1978 Monaco Grand Prix (won by Depailler), becoming the eleventh different winning driver of 1982. World Drivers’ title went to Finn Keke Rosberg (Williams).
