In 1975, Arturo Merzario signs for Willy Kaushen whose team (Willi Kaushen Racing Team) enters the works Alfa Romeo’s 33TT12 in the endurance world championship. He is seen here-above with team mate Jacques Laffite.
For Merzario, great is the contrast with his mediocre Formula 1 season. The Italian wins, associated with Jacques Laffite, the 800 km of Dijon, the 1000 km of Monza, the Nurburgring 1000 km and the 1000 km of Enna-Pergusa in Sicily (this time with Jochen Mass). At the end of the season Alfa and Kaushen are crowned World Endurance Champions.
