The Brit was a two-time Formula One World Champion (1962 and 1968) from Hampstead near London, in an era where cars and circuits were at their most dangerous.
Suave, seemingly fearless, and determined beyond belief, Hill “talked his way” into becoming a Lotus mechanic, then into a Lotus race car. Four years after his debut, he was a F1 Drivers’ World Champion.
Graham Hill once said: “I am an artist. The track is my canvas, and the car is my brush.” An artist, for sure, and a great champion and legendary champion, for sure.
