			Willy Theodore Ribbs Jr, known as Willy T. Ribbs is an American race driver famous for being the first African-American racer to have tested a Formula One car (he did so in 1985) and to compete in the Indianapolis 500 (in 1991).

The American competed in many forms of auto racing, including Trans-Am series, IndyCar, Champ Car, IMSA and the NASCAR Cup Series.
Ribbs saw his biggest successes in the Trans-Am Series, winning 17 races while driving for the teams led by Dan Gurney and Jack Roush.
