Greg Moore (1975-1999) was a Canadian racer who competed in the CART series from 1993 to 1999. Very fast, he scored 5 wins, 17 podiums and 5 pole position.

The Canadian began competing in CART with the Forsythe Racing in 1996, and was second in the ‘Rookie of the Year’ standings behind Alex Zanardi. The following two years, he claimed 4 victories and was fifth in the points’ standings in 1998.

In 1999, he took another win but the car was overall less competitive. At the season ending Marlboro 500 at California Speedway, Moore was killed in a violent airborne collision. He was due to leave Forsythe Racing to join Team Penske in 2000. The Canadian was on the brink of achieving major success. A very sad loss.
