Gérard Larrousse climbs out of his Alpine Renault A442 Turbo and hands over to Jean-Pierre Jarier during the 1975 Watkins Glen 6 Hours (photo above). This crew finished third, three laps behind the Alfa Romeo T33/TT/12 of Pescarolo/Bell (winners) and Merzario/Andretti (2nd).

Heavy rain disrupted the event, to the point that it was subsequently referred to as the ‘boat race’ due to the flooded track. Derek Bell and Henri Pescarolo were the best in these conditions, driving their Alfa Romeo T33/TT/12 entered by the Willy Kaushen Racing Team.
