A Ferrari 250 LM, chassis 6051, speeds through a village (open the photo in full size and notice the Sicilian public, so close to the action) during the 1966 Targa Florio. Driven by Jackie Epstein and Paul Hawkins and entered by E. Enterprise Team, it finished 7th overall.
This 50th edition of the Targa Florio was disrupted by heavy rain, and it was the Porsche 906 entered by Scuderia Filipinetti but supported by the factory, a car powered by a 2-litre engine and driven by Herbert Müller and Willy Mairesse, that prevailed ahead of the factory Ferrari 206 S of Jean Guichet and Giancarlo Baghetti.
