Ricciardo joins McLaren

Daniel Ricciardo in his McLaren MCL35-Mercedes, flirts with the barriers during the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix. The Australian finishes the race in 12th, a lap down on winner Max Verstappen (Red Bull), while his young team mate Lando Norris, secures an excellent podium finish, just behind the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz.

After two years at Renault, Ricciardo joined McLaren for the 2021 Formula One World Championship. He partnered with Lando Norris, who was retained by the team. The season didn’t not yield the expected results though, Daniel ended the year in eighth place only in the drivers standings, scoring 115 points with just one podium, his opportunistic race win at Monza (picture-below).
