Excellent driver and technician, Jean-Pierre Jabouille brought Renault and it’s turbo engine in F1. It created a revolution in the sport, soon every team had to switch to this technology to stay competitive.
Jabouille won the 1979 French Grand Prix at Dijon, first ever win for Renault and for the turbo engine, and the 1980 Austrian Grand Prix at Zeltweg, driving a Renault. He also participated 13 times at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, finishing four times third.
