French racing driver Patrick Tambay and Canadian Gilles Villeneuve were great friends. They are seen here in 1978, a season where Tambay drove for McLaren and Villeneuve drove for Ferrari. Tambay had a difficult year, scoring 8 points only in his uncompetitive McLaren. Villeneuve finished 9th for his first year with Ferrari, winning his home Canadian Grand Prix.
