Sébastien Bourdais (born in 1979) is a French racing driver from Le Mans in France. He now resides in St. Petersburg, Florida. Is he the most successful bespectacled racing driver of all time?

Well, he won 37 Champ Car and IndyCar races and four consecutive Champ Car championship (2004-2007), was 2002 F3000 champion and won the 2014 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, and the 2015 12 Hours of Sebring, so the answer is yes.

Bourdais also started 27 Formula One races for Scuderia Toro Rosso in 2008 and 2009, and scored six championship points. He could have scored more points in F1 when he qualified fourth for the 2008 Italian Grand Prix at Monza, however his car would not select first gear on the grid, and he finished a lap down on the winner, team-mate Vettel, and set the second-fastest lap of the race.

Sebastien Bourdais has now taken a full-time gig racing Daytona Prototypes for Chip Ganassi in the IMSA SportsCar Championship, driving the No. 01 Cadillac.
