Michel Leclère (born 18 March 1946) is a former motor racing driver from Mantes-la-Jolie in France. Performing well in Formula 2 in 1975 and in 1976 (picture above left on the podium at Nogaro), three victories and a third place in the final standings, against the likes of Laffite, Tambay and Jabouille, earned him his chance in Formula One.

After making his F1 debut for Team Tyrrell at the US Grand Prix at Watkins Glen, the last race of the 1975 Formula One season, he landed a full-time drive with Wolf-Williams Racing in 1976. However, the car was uncompetitive, and neither he nor his experienced team-mate Jacky Ickx could perform, and Leclère, although he sometimes was faster than Ickx (like in Monaco and Zolder), returned to the Formula 2. After a disappointing season with Kaushen, he retired from racing.

Michel Leclère participated in eight Formula One Grand Prix, with a best result of 10th at the 1976 Spanish Grand Prix. He is seen here-below, at his Grand Prix debut for Tyrrell, strolling down the paddock of Watkins Glen, end of 1975.
