Martin Brundle was born on the 1st of June 1959, he’s a former British racing driver and also known as a Grand Prix commentator since 1997.
In 1983, Brundle contested the British Formula 3 championship and finished a close second to Ayrton Senna, and the two progressed to Formula 1 the next year. He then had a long Formula One career in which he drove for: Tyrrell, Zakspeed, Williams, Brabham, Benetton (picture above in 1992), Ligier, McLaren and Jordan but failed to win a Grand Prix in 158 starts, but scoring 9 podium finishes and 98 championship points.
He is the 1988 World Sportscars Champion with the Silk Cut Jaguar team and won the 1990 Le Mans 24 Hours with Dane John Nielsen and American Price Cobb, in a Jaguar XJR12.
