Logan Sargeant

Logan Sargeant (born 31 December 2000) is an American racing driver, who is scheduled to make his debut in Formula 1 for Williams Racing. He previously competed in the 2022 FIA Formula 2 Championship driving for Carlin Motorsport, where he became Rookie of the Year, by finishing fourth overall in the standings.

Sargeant will partner Alex Albon at Williams in 2023, but the American doesn’t see himself leaning on Albon too heavily. The 22-year old explains: “I plan to not rely on him too much; I feel like I have to stand for myself and go through the hard times and the good times and experience all the different things and ultimately, that’s what’ll make you better – I know there’s going to be challenges, but hopefully I can get on top of it quickly.”

At Bahrein, for the pre-season tests last week, the American driver, who is an authentic talent, who arrives in Formula One on merit, acquitted himself very well. He drove for 229 laps and 1239 km without putting a foot wrong. Of course, its a steep learning curve from the F2 to the F1, and Logan Sargeant knows it; but his calm, composed approach to the challenge, is a good sign for things to come. We will be watching his progress with lots of interest, all through the season.
