Jackie Oliver, born 14 August 1942, is a British former Formula One driver, endurance ace and team-owner from England. He took 50 starts in Formula One, for the Lotus, BRM, McLaren and Shadow teams, achieved two podiums finishes and scored 13 career points.
Oliver was known as the founder of the Arrows Formula One team, but one should not forget, he won the Le Mans 24 Hours and the Sebring 12 Hours with Jacky Ickx in 1969 in the legendary Ford GT40, and the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 1000 km of Monza in 1971 with Pedro Rodriguez in the mighty Gulf-Porsche 917. In 1974, the Brit also won the spectacular Can-Am series, winning four out of five races, in a Shadow (picture below).
