Joosen and Andruet win at Spa
Belgian Eddy Joosen and Frenchman Jean-Claude Andruet won the 1977 24 Hours of Spa in a Juma-entered BMW 530i. Stefan Bellof
Stefan Bellof (1957-1985) was a German racing driver. He was a prodigy in the mould of Gilles Villeneuve and Ayrton Senna. He competed with the Tyrrell Formula One team during 1984 and 1985. Sadly he was killed in an accident during the 1985 1000 km of Spa aboard a Porsche 956.

Once in a while, Thierry Boutsen, former three-time Formule 1 Grand Prix winner, is tempted by a few laps in an ancient Formula 1 car. The Belgian driver, who never was a Lotus driver, tried the ex- Satoru Nakajima Lotus-Judd 101, during the ‘Sound of Engine’ week-end at Suzuka.
Jarier and Ickx win for Matra
The 1974 1000 km of Spa were won by Jean-Pierre Jarier and Jacky Ickx in one of the two Matra 670’s. The Matra was pressed hard by the Mirage-Ford of Derek Bell, and the French team was grateful to have hired Ickx, always so competitive, on this fast circuit.
