Simon Pagenaud (#22) and Juan Pablo Montoya (#2) were teammates at Penske, but were racing hard against each other on track, like here-above at the 2015 Indianapolis 500. This race saw the debut of unique aero kits from Chevrolet and Honda, respectively fitted on the Dallara DW12 chassis used by all teams.

Juan Pablo Montoya won his second Indianapolis 500, followed by Will Power, Charlie Kimball in third and pole sitter Scott Dixon. Pagenaud clipped the rear of Justin Wilson on lap 176, causing front wing damage, he dropped down the field.

The Frenchman, winner of the 2019 Indianapolis 500, told me that Montoya had helped him win that race, by giving him tactical advice before: how to manage the race while leading and how to fend off his opponents efficiently in the closing stages.

Picture below: Simon Pagenaud resists to the furious attacks of Alex Rossi in the last laps of the 2019 Indianapolis 500.
