Ferrari were once again the favorites to win the Belgian Grand Prix 1952. Three red cars were entered for Alberto Ascari (picture), Nino Farina and Piero Taruffi.

The F1 World Championship of 1952 was run to Formula 2 rules rather than the Formula One regulations normally used.

This regulation would be valid for the 1952 and 1953 championships.

The Scuderia with it’s Ferrari 500 of 2.0 litres dominated the field, and Ascari headed an all-Ferrari front row, with Farina and Taruffi in second and third, respectively.

Alberto Ascari won the race from Nino Farina, scoring a one-two for the Scuderia, far ahead of the Gordini of Robert Manzon.

The Italian champion dominated the entire 1952 championship in his Ferrari 500, winning six out of eight races that season.
