Kimi Hunt
Kimi Raikkönen raced with a James Hunt-tribute helmet, at the 2012 Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix. It looked great in the black and gold Lotus-Renault (picture above), and he qualified in eighth, but slower than his team mate Grosjean in fifth. Interesting: Raikkönen, like James Hunt, never won the Monaco Grand Prix.
Sensation of this qualifying session, was Michael Schumacher’s pole position in his Mercedes, but he would drop 5 grid places due to his collision in Spain. Indeed, it had been a while since the seven-time World Champion, performed so well.
In winning this race in his Red Bull-Renault, Mark Webber became the only Australian to win on multiple occasions at the circuit. Kimi Raikkönen could not do better than finishing in ninth place, while his team mate Grosjean was once again involved in a collision at the start and Michael Schumacher retired his Mercedes from the race on lap 63, because of fuel pressure problems.
