Kenny Acheson (born 27 November 1957) in Cookstown, North-Ireland, is a former racing driver who briefly appeared on the Formula One scene in 1983 and 1985 for the RAM team. He is seen here above at the Österreichring in 1985.

Acheson completed only one of his three F1 race starts and ten qualifying attempts, finishing in 12th position at the 1983 South African Grand Prix.

He was a sensation in Formula Ford, a winner in Formula 3 (lost the British F3 title, on the last race of the season to Johansson), a podium finisher in Formula 2. He was quick, and had he been given decent material in Formula One (certainly not the case at RAM), he would have done well.

Kenny Acheson always did well at the 24 Hours of Le Mans: 2nd in 1989 with Sauber Mercedes, 2nd again in 1992 with Toyota and 3rd in 1991 in the Silk Cut Jaguar.
