Brazilian drivers Emerson Fittipaldi and Ingo Hoffman sit next to their Ricardo Divila-designed Copersucar Fittipaldi FD-04 at Long Beach, 1976 US Grand Prix West. Fittipaldi did well to finish sixth and score one point for his team, while Hoffman failed to qualify.
After an unsuccessful 1975, Wilson Fittipaldi stepped down from driving to look after the management of the team and was replaced by his brother Emerson, who had left, at the surprise of all, McLaren. Brazilian Ingo Hoffman, fast in Formula 2 was entered in three races in 1976, but failed to qualify in any of them. Emerson Fittipaldi scored three points only, with three sixth place finishes, certainly a disappointment for the double world champion.
