Kimi Raikkonen, the 42 years old Alfa Romeo F1 driver and 2007 Formula One World Champion, veteran of 341 start F1 starts and winner of 21 Grand Prix, has announced his retirement of the F1 at the end of the 2021 season.

His race craft, his ho so special character, his charisma and his very particular sense of humour, will be very much missed by his fans around the world and by the whole Formula One community.

Raikkonen is expected to be replaced at Alfa Romeo by fellow Finn Valtteri Bottas who spent five seasons at AMG Mercedes and will sign a multi-year contract in the coming days with the team led by Fred Vasseur.

Bottas will be replaced at Mercedes by 23 year-old George Russell, who will form a promising partnership with 7-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton (picture below).
