Each year, on the 1st of May, we remember Ayrton Senna, who died on this day in 1994 during the San Marino Grand Prix at Imola.

Belgian Thierry Boutsen, who was his friend, and who is seen here above with Senna in 1989, remembers the immense talent of the Brazilian:

“He was exceptional. He was a superlative driver, better than any other. He had that extra skill. I don’t see anyone today with that level of skill. If he raced today, no one would be able to beat him.”
