The 1975 Spanish Grand Prix, held on the fast urban race track of Montjuich on the hills of Barcelona, had been stopped before the end: the Hill of Rolf Stommelen had crashed heavily and unfortunately had killed 5 spectators…

The race was black-flagged at half distance, and only half the championship points were awarded to the winner Jochen Mass, for whom it would be the only Grand Prix victory in an F1 career that lasted 10 seasons, and half a point to Lella Lombardi, the only woman to score (half) a point in Formula 1, seen here with her two “body guard” Vittorio Brambilla and Arturo Merzario (picture here-under).
