Rubens Barrichello continued to perform well during the 1995 Formula One season and scored a second-place finish in Montréal, but the Jordan cars were less reliable than in 1994, partly because Eddie Jordan took over the works Peugeot engine contract, he finally did not have to pay for his engines, from the McLaren team.

In three races he lost valuable points (7) on the final lap – a high-speed collision with Mark Blundell at Silverstone, and mechanical failures at Barcelona and in Hungary. Barrichello finished the season in 11th with 11 points, one ahead of team mate Eddie Irvine.
