We heard the sad news today of the death of French racing driver Jean-Pierre Jaussaud at the age of 84. He used to be a pillar of the Matra team in F3 in the 60’s, then an excellent F2 driver in the 70’s and then a double Le Mans 24 Hours winner.
These victories at Le Mans were historic because twice a first: for Renault with Didier Pironi in 1978 and then in 1980 with Jean Rondeau and the fantastic Rondeau adventure (picture above).
Jean-Pierre Jaussaud had such an intense the passion for racing… So long, Papy !
