After winning the first two Grand Prix of his career, in Spain and in Holland, and finishing fourth in the 1974 Formula One Driver’s World Championship, Niki Lauda felt he was ready to conquer the title.

“Don’t talk too much, focus on the goal and achieve it. The less you talk, the more time you have for essential things.” he said.

In his second year with Ferrari the team provided him with the Ferrari 312T imagined by Mauro Forghieri, a car that was supremely competitive, and he made the best use of it.

Thus in 1975, Niki Lauda won his first world title with five wins, three podiums and a huge margin over second place – Emerson Fittipaldi in a McLaren – in the championship.
