Kevin Cogan was a young hopeful American driver at the end of the 70s, a candidate for a drive in F1 with McLaren, but it was Alain Prost who was chosen for the 1980 season. He then tried to qualify for the 1980 Canadian Grand Prix in a Williams, then again at Long Beach in 1981 with Tyrrell (picture above), but without any success.

His IndyCar career did not leave a notorious trace either, besides the fact that he raced this Ligier LC02 (LC for Ligier Curb, and C for Mike Curb, the show business magnate, who bankrolled the operation), for his unique appearance at Long Beach 1984.
