A glorious 250 LM

The Ferrari 250LM (5893) entered by the N.A.R.T-Harrah Racing and driven by Masten Gregory and David Piper is pushed by its mechanics in the pits of Daytona, prior to the 1968 24 Hours of Daytona.

This is the exact chassis (5893) that won the 1965 Le Mans 24 Hours in 1965, driven by Masten Gregory and Jochen Rindt.

Less luck three years later in Florida, with a DNF when Gregory, who was fighting for the lead (picture below), spun in oil from a blown engine at the fastest place on the track.

The race was won by the Porsche 907 LH 2.2 driven by Elford/Neerpasch/Stommelen/Siffert/Herrmann.
