At the 1962 Belgian Grand Prix held at Spa-Francorchamps, Jim Clark won a championship Formula One Grand Prix for the first time, and this at his 17th attempt.

Clark would drive 55 more championship F1 Grand Prix, winning 24 of them. He also won 19 non-championship F1 races in 53 starts. Such was his domination.
