Jean-Pierre Jabouille made his first appearances in Formula One in 1974, failing to qualify an Iso-Marlboro at the French Grand Prix, and a Surtees at the Austrian Grand Prix.
He finally made his full Grand Prix debut, at the 1975 French Grand Prix held on the Le Castellet circuit finishing 12th in a works Tyrrell 007 (picture-above and below).
For 1976, the Frenchman returned to Formula 2, and won the title. Jabouille was then signed up by Renault to develop their new 1.5L turbocharged engine for 1977, but that’s another story.
