David Coulthard won a Grand Prix for the first time on 24 September 1995. Indeed, at the Portuguese Grand Prix held at Estoril in 1995, he brilliantly drove his Williams FW17B-Renault from pole to victory, with fastest lap on the way to the flag. Michael Schumacher (Benetton-Renault) was second and team-mate Damon Hill third (picture above).

Damon Hill about DC: “David could have been World Champion if he applied himself. He was a world class driver, but was too easily distracted (by the women).”

David Coulthard competed in 15 season of Formula One between 1994 and 2008, taking 13 Grand Prix victories and 62 podium finishes. He was runner-up to Michael Schumacher in the 2001 championship, driving for McLaren (picture below, with his girlfriend Andrea and Ron Dennis, far right).
