What follows is a fiction: We are already halfway the 2020 championship and its crisis at the Scuderia Ferrari. Not one victory so far, while the 2020 Ferrari is very competitive. Crashes between team mates and strategic errors have prevented the men in red to win.

After 13 races out of 22, Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) is comfortably leading the championship, with team-mate Bottas second, albeit already 50 points behind the 6-times World Champion.

Then comes Verstappen (Red Bull) followed by Leclerc, Albon and Vettel whose seat at Ferrari is rumored to be in danger.

Disappointment also at Renault where Ricciardo and Ocon, despite all their efforts, only succeed to score a few points here and there.

Reactions in the paddock :

Mattia Binotto (Ferrari) : “We might have made a mistake to bet everything on Vettel. These crashes between team mates are not acceptable, but our drivers get along very well, and that’s the most important thing.”

Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) : “Am completely innocent. He (Leclerc) is the one always crashing into me. No, I don’t change trajectory and no I didn’t squeeze him on the left.”

Romain Grosjean (Haas) : “If soon there will be a seat free at  Ferrari, I believe am a legitimate candidate for it.”

Fernando Alonso : “Vettel is too political.”

Sergio Pérez (Racing Point) : “Replacing Vettel at Ferrari ? No, I have just agreed a 7 years extension at Racing Point.”

Cyril Abiteboul (Renault) : “Our objectives have always been clear : Scoring podiums in 2022 and victories in 2025, and we already have the best engine.”

Lance Stroll (Racing Point) : “Dad insists I should sign a new contract with the team.”

Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) : “I have identified the areas where I should improve in order to beat Lewis.”

Daniel Ricciardo (Renault) : “I absolutely have no regrets leaving Red Bull.”

Kimi Raikkonen (Alfa Romeo) : “I have signed a new 3 years contract with Alfa Romeo because am still having fun.”
